A Dogless Weekend....

Well last weekend I went to St. Louis to go to Scrap St. Louis, a scrapbooking event, with my mom. I love being creative, usually on projects more so than actual scrapbooking pages, and this event had a little of both from some seriously creative instructors. I had a really great time spending the weekend with my mom. Take a look at some pics from the event...

Mary Englebreit signing a print for me...she spoke at dinner the first night

Teresa Collins and I after her class...what a talented and sweet person!

My favorite project of the whole weekend from Wendi Vecchi's class. Grunge Paper is about the coolest medium I have seen!!!

A very cool chipboard album from Margie Romney-Aslett's class!

On Sunday, I went up to the house and hung out with my Dad for the morning. We went for a long walk at Souix Passage Park, and then headed home and BBQ'd some burgers for lunch. A great weekend, but I missed Mike and the pups!!

Well, I am back home, and spending this week getting ready to head to Decatur, AL for an agility trial this weekend! I am so excited to meet one of the judges who trains with Tonya up in PA. I know that I promised videos from the last trial... and I really am going to try and upload those this week... really!!! :)

The Last Day of the Stuffed Pineapple...

Unfortunately, we lost the stuffed pineapple today after a vigorous game of tug of war between Foster and Lexi. All 3 pups watched sadly (well I think they thought they were going to get cookies actually, so they look quite happy, but they were sad on the inside...) as we laid the remnants to rest. On to the next stuffed toy....

A Beautiful Morning for a Swim

Yesterday after class, Foster did a little swimming in the lake. Lexi played with Splash and Pebbles for a bit, and got close enough to the lake for a drink. It was beautiful outside!! I wish this lake was in my backyard!!

The Stuffed Pineapple Lives On...sort of

Yes, the stuffed pineapple is still alive, but just barely. It has now lost most of its stuffing and the squeaker is long gone...but a favorite toy it still is!

Foster takes a little more stuffing out!

Q's, Friends, and the Budweiser Clydesdales

We spent the weekend here in Memphis at the GSKC Agility trial! The weather for the majority of the weekend was wonderful which made this outdoor (under cover) trial really nice! (Sunday was a tad too windy in the afternoon!) The best part is that you get to meet everyone's non-agility friends, families, and maybe even a boyfriend in addition to seeing all of our agility friends especially those not from Memphis:)

So now on to the fun!!!

Moana and Jennifer came SOOOOO close to the Q multiple times this weekend!!! It is going to happen soon, I can just feel it!! And Cletus did much, much better on Saturday!!

Jill and Atticus were on fire this weekend!!! He got his Excellent A title in Jumpers this weekend and got his OA title in Standard! He is now completely in Excellent!! YEAH!!!

Jill and George also had a good weekend with many close runs! And I have to say that George was the most talkative as I have ever seen him in the ring this weekend! He had something to say!

Terry and Pebbles had some really good runs this weekend! Most impressive was her standard runs in which Pebbles was a very happy girl during her runs!!

Tammy and Cajun had some great runs and Qs in Std and FAST and some close calls in JWW. Miss Simi had a good weekend as well especially in JWW and FAST!

Last but not least, Foster got his second FAST leg , a QQ, and another Q in JWW on Sunday. Miss Lexi is making great strides in her confidence in the ring!! She got her 1st FAST leg this weekend as well as her 2nd Open Std leg (and 2nd place!!!) this weekend! Even better was that she did the table and her contacts in every standard run this weekend!! I was SO excited!!!

Hopefully I will have some videos to post later this week!!

This is a very hard venue since it is open on all sides of the ring to outside distractions, people, cars, car alarms, trucks, Clydesdales...

Yes the Budweiser Clydesdales were in town for the Cardinals vs the Memphis Redbirds games on Friday and Saturday. They board the horses right next to the arena we were using for the trial. So we got to see them get walked, washed, and all done up for their appearance on both days. We also ran into the Budweiser Dalmation too! He was very friendly and really liked all of the dogs that were around.
